LOL, maybe I will, sweetie, if you are really good, eat all of your vegetables, and go to bed at a decent hour.

The epilogue:

Epilogue
It was a year to the day from Sefa's first birthday, and a great party was being held at Cythera and Odo's estate. Rosewood seemed been transformed into one huge garden, with flowering shrubs and bouquets everywhere. A band played on the front lawn, and huge trestle tables groaned with food and drink. The guests mingled, an odd mixture of local nobility and friends from town.
The guest of honor, clad in a new silk dress from the finest shop in the city sat surrounded by various young sprigs of the nobility. One tall russet-hired lad, asked, "So, where are your family lands?"
Sefa looked at him loftily and replied, "We don't live in the country. We reside in Baldur's Gate."
"Oh," he said, "a merchant family?"
"No," she answered, "we trade in power."
The lad nodded sagely. "Ah, politics or military?"
"Oh, definitely, both." She turned to talk to somebody else and spied Noemi standing rather apart, surveying the scene. She seemed to be looking for someone. Sefa ran over to her.
"Oh, hi, Sefa," she said with a smile. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
"Well," the girl replied, "I really don't know anyone except you all. How about you?"
"Not my favorite people." the redheaded mage allowed. "But, they're Odo and Cyth's friends, so I am going to try to be nice. Have you seen Gal?"
Sefa noddded. "She and Cyth went back into the house. I think Cyth wanted to show her something in her new laboratory. Do you want me to run and get her?"
"Tres' name, no," her fellow apprentice said, "you'll get me in trouble with both of them, for sending you away from your own party."
A handsome man in a blue uniform came up to them. "Lady Noemi, isn't it?" he inquired.
She looked at him and smiled, rather coolly, Sefa thought. "That's right. And this is Lady Sefa, the guest of honor. It's Lord Craufurd, isn't it?"
The young man smiled at Sefa and doffed his velvet cap. To Noemi he then said "Indeed, yes. I believe that we met in the negotiations over that trading expedition to Zamoria that went so profitably for us all. I was hoping that you would be here, since I heard from Odo that your sister was coming. She is becoming quite the power in town, isn't she? I understand that she is being bruited about for Grand Duke at the next vacancy, which, since Duke Vencinzo is so poorly, may come soon, indeed. Perhaps when you are next in town, you could come to dinner. My father's table holds a high reputation."
"Thank you," Noemi replied with one corner of her mouth up. "You may contact me at the House of the Dome, in town. with an invitation."
Rather abashed at this less than cordial reception, the young man drifted off.
"Why did you do that?" Sefa asked in astonishment. "He'll never call, now. You should have been more gracious, Lady Noemi."
Noemi looked about to return some sharp answer, but relented at the earnest expression on Sefa's face. "Don't worry, Sefa," she said with a grim chuckle."That young fool is just looking to ally his House with Gal, in some political deal. He's not my type. By the way, Sefa, you have lived with us for a year. I think you should just call me 'Em'."
Boldly, the girl asked, "And what is your type, Em?"
"Ah," said the little redhead. "That is another story." She spotted her sister coming out of the front door af the house, winked at Sefa, and ran to meet Galadria.
