Imoen Same-Sex Romance

Thanks, Memnoch. I really didn't want to get into all of that, as the main part of the romance, for me, is the really warm and caring relationship that develops between the female PC and Imoen. She really is dear to me, and that is why I agreed to help with the script. Actually, the guys in my house agreed with me, saying it would be too weird havig a brother sister relationship, and I think that I understand that. Women are just more huggy=kissy than men.

Well, I hope all the feedback you're getting (positive and negative) is helping you, anyway. And I hope that the fact that I'm "watching the thread" is not preventing people from expressing their point of view. As long as you're all civil and tactful, you have nothing to worry about from me. It's only people who are speeding who get worried when cops are around.

Hey, Azred. Tell your girlfriend that flames are infrequent at IW. Well, my game keeps crashing whenever I try to leave the Underdark, where a rather crucial exchange takes place. I don't really know what's causing it, and Columbus is e-mailing me another savedgame to try. Also, (groan) he wants me to work on a "platonic " version for everybody that isn't into the Lesbian aspect, so we are still hard at work. I also e-mailed him this whole thread, and he is adamant about leaving the -er-vilence in. Actually, I quite agree, though, as you know, I have taken some heat for it.

Well, since I have the saved games neither the saved games nor the scripts Columbus has written I can only take shots in the dark. I'm afraid guesses would be of little help, though.

re: leaving the violence in. It's not like there is any lack of violence in the game already. You know that we are all "virtual" mass-murderers...in self-defense, though. Listen to me rationalize! [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img]

I think that is why he wants to put a "platonic" one in, because it is a little more ...er...explicit than any of the others, except maybe Viconia's...no, it is more than that, too, though there is nothing remotely pornographic about it. It is more candles and soft music stuff. She complains whenever the PC...neglects her.

Galadria, this storyline of yours does bring up some other interesting possibilities for equipment and misc. items for Imoen.

For example,

+2 wallet chain ( +3 vs. men)

Butches Birkenstocks (adds 1 to STR, +5 save vs. hetero influence)

Mullet of Machismo (magical haircut which adds +10 to all saves vs. male dominated society)

Shirt of Confusion (a plain cotton shirt with the words "Nobody knows I'm a Lesbian" sewn on it. 50% chance of casting confusion on any char with INT < 15, casts Falwell's Frenzied Frothing against all fundamentalists, no saving throw.)

Realizing that that this post may draw some fire, my last request is that I be covered with honey and thrown to the lesbians for my "punishment".

Well, as strange as this may be (or not), you could create items for use in the game that give either "protection from males" or "bonus to hit/damage" against males. Well, you could.
