Umm, when I said Ed Wood earlier, I meant Ed Harris.
![]() What about the senior Senator from Massachusetts, Edward Kennedy? Mr. Ed? Ed Koch? I know that Ed, Edd and Eddy are cartoon characters, but I'm not familiar with them, I assume by your reaction that I will remain not familiar with them. ![]() Last edited by manikus; 08-06-2008 at 09:49 PM. |

Ohhh Mr. Ed! Yeah! That's a good one. HE gets honorary membership, of course (of course)!
![]() I am also not familiar with Ed, Edd, and Eddy, because their stupid name and stupid looks completely turn me away from the boob tube when they are on. They use the name of Ed in vain!!!

Ya, I don't like their look. I can't stand that style of animation. Blech!
How about actor Ed Norton? Ed Asner? Eddie Munster? |

Getting rather hazy with these "minor" Eds here...
(Like demons, devils, and daemons, Eds are given ranks as well... There are the least Eds, lesser Eds, greater Eds, and arch-Eds. I would be, ahem, one of the arch-Eds (of course!), if not THE arch-Ed... heh, heh... We then war with the evil Bobs, of whom the arch-Bobs are my own arch-nemeses...)

I was kind of surprised at how few famous Eds there are. Of course, it could be worse, you could have a name like, "Dirk" or "Liam".

Yeah... My friend had a doctor named "Dr. Dick Wiener"... and then there are people with surnames like "Gaylord" or just "Gay" - nothing against gay people or being gay (as in the old "happy and gay" meaning), but... it's just not a good name to have in primary school... Then there are people who get joke-names from their parents (like "Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii," who successfully got a new name)...

My aunt was married to a man named Bill Bahls for a number of years, and my cousin got to grow up with last name of Bahls.
The worst I've ever witnessed first hand was in high school. In one of my classes was a kid by the name of Craig Kanoff. He had an older brother named Jack. I kid you not. None of us believed him, so he brought in an old year book and had several teachers confirm it. |

Ha ha... Well, he could have used his name to his advantage ("Oh, Bill? He's definitely got Bahls")...
Funny how your teachers all did the serious and confirmed you kids' inquiry about "Jack Kanoff" ![]() ![]() Then he could go and get married to someone to add to his surname... "Jack Kanoff-Moore" "Jack Kanoff-Egin" ...and so on... ![]()
