I was wondering why it wasn't on Pay-Per-View. Hell, that could have paid for the whole damn war.

The video was on tv, it showed several man with black mask talking to saddam and then put ablack cloth around his neck, after that it showed saddam's dead body lying there with the white cloth covering half of his body and his face was uhh..wounded.

Yeah, I couldn't watch anything about it on the news as believe it or not, I feel sorry for him. Yes, I know what he did. Just my human nature I guess.

Was it really necessary to make it into a show? Whatever happened to last rites and basic human dignity? It just reeks of lowering oneself.

I would imagine that a lot of people got a small measure of closure from it. He affected a lot of people, and almost none of them in a good way.

I just want to know, why do it at sunrise? Couldn't they let the poor doomed bastard sleep in a little on his last day on earth?

I think that to feel sympathy for someone like him is to show that we are human, and that we haven't yet lost our basic humanity. I don't support the death penalty from a personal perspective, but that said, if anyone deserved to hang, it was him. I'm sure his death is small comfort to the many others who died at his command.
