Speaks raised one eyebrow as he thought, "it looks as though the young lady has more information, but is letting us digest what we have, I think letting her finish will help us more than charging in to "bust some heads""

He settled back into his chair waiting for Mercedes to continue without prodding her with questions, "they say the cats are loath to give up their questions, so we would be better off patient and waiting for her, when she is ready to tell us more she will."

Eric stood dumbfounded that Darious would speak in such a way to him. "Well for ****'s sake what good will come of sitting here and talking you damn fool. And you think what I do is a waste? What about your flirting with Zorana, all that will do is give you another weakness if battle ever comes." With a quick turn he was now facing Speaks and stated bluntly, "Fool, busting heads has always been able to accomplish more than talking ever has." He then began to lumber over to Darious, the anger in his eyes obvious to all.

OOC: Hope this turns into a fight. And i suggest you fight because if you attempt to get away from this conflict my character will most likely mark you as a coward. And who knows, if you win you'll probably have earned his respect and it might make him an easier guy to live with. And besides im itchin for some action.

Zorana slid fluidly between the two men, "And just what do you think fighting with eachother is going to accomplish, Erik?" She growled and glared at him with her challenging emerald eyes, "We cannot just go off and fight these enemies without knowing more about them." Her voice level started to rise, "Use the lump of gray matter in your skull, if it's not too much trouble, and tell us why we should go now. Do you think we know enough about our enemy to just go off and destroy them?"

"Ye wee lad, if you would cool your jet's for a minute and realise storming in like a bull usually will get the bull slain, you would understand the reason of speech, and as for flirting, it is good for the soul and the mind it will keep one fresh" setting down his drink on the table he stood up, only to be intercepted by Zorana
*Zorana's Dialog here *

Standing there alert but relaxed and ready to spring to however this turns out.

OOC: Preparing for a much stronger reaction then what i just got after this post.... Builds a nuclear bunker to protect self from Lady Blue.

IC: Eric let out a sigh as he still could not comprehend the hesitation to fighting that his comrades had. Then after a moment, the anger still in his eyes, he began to speak once more, "First of all fighting with each will help us prepare for any fights we may encounter, not only will we all get a chance to sharpen our skills but the flaws we make while fighting a friend can be spotted and corrected. And what more do we need to know about these creatures than the fact that they are currently assaulting our kind. For all we know right now other Lychans could be dying because of your unwillingness to take action. And what will knowing more about them do for us anyway? Oh sure there may be some weakness they have that could give us an edge in battle but even so only a truly dishonorable warrior would exploit the weakness of another. Now then wench, since i have been good enough to answer your questions could you please move out of the way so that we Men could get to business."

OOC Again: and geez, why cant you people just let me get into a good old fight to calm my nerves. Also just added a final bit of speech in my last post to Speaks.

Question Mark

"knowing and using their weaknesses against them may be dishonorable, but knowing their strengths, to be aware of them, is simply intelligent, if not logical." mercedes ran a hand through her hair, still keeping with the well kept look. the arguing wolves did not seem to ruffle her fur. in fact it almost seemed to raise her opinion of her own superiority.

"now if you would listen, i have two more sets of strengths to discuss," she looked each one in the eyes, letting them know she had every intention of speaking even if they continued to argue. "there are times we feel safe in the human world. we feel successfully disguised by our ability to shape shift, to blend in with their culture. however some of these people have an ability to tell even a well disguised fera is not as simple as they appear. this ability is so strong it even works in darkness that most humans cannot see through."

"one of the more disturbing occurances they seem to control can hold one of us in place. like being in an unseen cage. it is not very big, and one cannot act outside it's confines."

"even more distressing is when they can take our very will from us! when we feel so confident in ourselves, and so strong in our own supernatural powers granted by gaia, they can hold them in check."

"our enemies also have access to our truths and can even remember our own memories. a falsehood is made clear to them in some manor. and when they see our memories....it is not an experience i wish to relive"

as mercedes quiets down she again has anger in her eyes. her experiences seem vast and her anger at the mistreatment is easily understood.

Zorana felt her hackles stiffen, "Fighting and sparring are different things. Perhaps you should specify next time." She refrained from baring her teeth at the male and instead retook her seat next to Mercedes as the cat started to speak. The powers of these creatures were extreme. There were particular memories she wanted no one to have access to. That their enemy could simply delve into their mind was unsettling.

Eric just stood there once again dumbfounded. How did these few hope to get anything acomplished when the only thing they were willing to do was sit around and talk. And what was all this talk about 'Sparring'? He just couldn't uderstand what these strange ones did for any sort of amusement if they refused to get into any sort of brawl. His temper finally dying down from the lack of any excitement and just a bunch of pointless argueing Eric sat down into a chair and began wishing he had a few more competent soldiers with him instead of these... children.

OOC: Fine, no fighting... *Goes and sulks in a corner*

Speaks glances at Eric and his sulking, the Striders were not the most notorious of warriors, but they were famed as heralds and message bearers, and as a Galliard, he was very gifted for that purpose, but the passion that inflamed his heart for stories also made his Rage run hot, perhaps he would give Eric the workout he desired later, but for now he was more interested in what the cat had said.

"War can wait, Eric, we need this information. You say it is dishonorable to strike at the weaknesses of our foes, I guarantee they would not show us that kindness, attack leeches during the day if you can, if they sleep they won't fight as hard. For the Dancers you fight with Silver," he patted the huge sword on his back before continuing, "As long as you know they will use your weaknesses against you it stops being dishonorable, and starts being wise, winning the war is worthless if none remain to enjoy life afterwards.

"Now Mercedes, This information is very valuabe, but from your stance it seems you have still more knowledge to tell us, please continue.
" He reclined in his armchair waiting for the inevitable explosion from Eric, it would be amusing, even if it destroyed the room in the process.

OOC: Oy, been way too long since someones posted in here. And if its an explosion you want its an explosion your gonna get.

IC: Eric turned and listened to Speaks all the while with a look of calm and deep understanding on his face, Then as Speaks finished talking Eric reached beside him and grabbed a vase which was soon flying towards Speaks (You can choose whether it hits or not) After the resolution of the Vase Eric stood up, greatly angered by Speaks. "You damn fool, have you no honour?" "It is nowhere near the honorable thing to sink to the level of your opponent." "You can't even understand this simple concept" He proceded to draw his sword as he walked to the door, preparing to leave these fools and fight this enemy alone. Before anyone could stand to stop him, he dissapeared into thin air as the door was flung open.
