Dexterity gives you a THACO bonus (or penalty) on your missile weapons. If you a dexterity of 16 you'll get a +1 bonus, 17 gives a +2 bonus, 19 a +3, 21 gives a 4+ bonus and anything beyond that provides a +5 bonus to hit. Penalties are given if your dexterity is 5 or less.

So, are there any +4 or +5 arrows in the game? And is the bonus for the arrow and the bow cumulative? I'd hate to make an Archer and not be able to hit anything.

THACO for bows and arrows ARE cumulative!
BUT not in the sense that with a +2 arrow and a +3 bow your weapon will NOT strike as +5 weapon....only as +2. You will however gain +5 to your attack role. Best enchanted weapon +3 phantom arrow....strikes as +3 Best THAC0 weapon +4 arrows of piercing |
