I wonder if those who recently took my post seriously bothered to read that I'd signed it "The Devils Advocate".

It was of course an imitative response to Angry lil' mans vitriol towards Druids and Neutral characters. Hence the reference to Angry lil' man.

Aside from that the fact that this - a thread from the blue board -was replied to so long after it was dead and buried is quite bizzare. I'd hope people in future read
a)The date of a thread
b)The whole post, including any references to sarcasm
c)The whole thread, so that if they initially miss the sarcasm, they will become aware of it as the thread progresses.

Cheers and happy posting all.

See you yesterday.

Hugh

lol sorry its my fault, i looked under someones (forgot who) profile and then i looked under recent posts and i saw the title of this and decided to read it. i didnt know how old it was[/QUOTE]I'm finding it coincidental that we've had more than a few old posts being answered like they were posted yesterday - and the answer always seems to be a) I didn't realize it was on page 28; or b) I forgot to look at the date of the post.

Come on fellas - be honest. You know you are allowed to bump up old posts if you have something meaningful to add to them - sometimes resurrecting an old post and bring in a whole lot of meaningful discussion from newbies, and can prolong the life of a thread. Nobody has a problem with that. The Dwarven Throwers thread is a good example (it's spam, but it's an epic). The Lords of Darkness thread is another one.

I don't want to have to start remembering people's usernames for the wrong reasons. Honesty and open discussion is what we're all about here. If you want to resurrect an old post, and it's a discussion post (as opposed to a question someone asked), and feel like you have a valid reason for doing so, then go ahead and do it. But do it HONESTLY - not under false pretenses.
