Seriously though Sigmar, I find Roleplaying can help, as can frequently posting in a clan thread (as long as you're in that clan!)
and chatting in the cafe.
I mean, there's thousands on IW, and hundreds of active GD members, not all of them know me very closely compared to others, some probably just think of me as the one who they can't spell the name of.

Hmmmm, people not being able to spell it... well I didn't think of it at first, unless it was done subconciously in a vile act of my vicious and cruel brain, but I wouldn't call it a deciding factor really. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

i am not so well-known myself. in IW, ppl keep calling me ingnorant and annoying and thats one thing that pisses me off.

Also, Sigmar, it doesn't matter if the people here are close to you or are your good friends as long as the people around you in real life know you and are your good friends. True, some people here do know each other in real life and are close friends, but most are relatively anonymous folks who post here and there.
Just jump into conversations, or start some yourself. The worst that will happen is that others will agree with you; the best that will happen is that people will begin to know you and you subsequently make friends here. In either case, be yourself and be true to yourself. You can't go wrong that way! [img]graemlins/petard.gif[/img]

Sigmar, I think it is extremely ironic that this very post is the one where you have arrived. I am relatively new to IW, but I have noticed your sig quite a few times without actually being able to recall anything you said. But this one tells me a lot about who you are, and I think I can now use three words for you...honest, sensitive and genuine.

Anyway, you have told us all something personal about the way you feel, and I think that is a good step towards friendships.

I will read your posts with interest!
