Bright yellow stockings? Surely you mean... Golden Pantaloons? (lightning flash)

I'd just like to say that this thread has given my BG gaming a new lease of life. I'm back in Athkatla, playing not Tancred Foesmite, the heroically dim Cavalier, but his exact opposite; Malvolio de Vere, the vicious, cunning, evil Swashbuckler (he's given up his Fighter status). He's already met his old buddies Viconia and Edwin, and has recruited a dfew more scurvy rogues to help rescue his 'sister' - possibly the one human being in the world he has any concern for. I'm having fun being a scumbag!

(By the way, Malvolio's portrait is 107 in the Ironworks archive; the guy wearing red and white, the cool cat with a black goatee and 'Musketeer' written all over him. Damn good pic.)

Tancred

CHAOTIC EVIL! MUHAHAHA! Look out, WORLD!

I noticed Cloudbringer referrenced Shakespeare, which gave me an idea. It's probably been mentioned already and I probably missed it but.......Hamlet? Or how about Rosencrantz or Guildenstern?
