Arithmatic is adding and subtraction and stuff like that. the other is everything in math.

Arithmetic is one of the branches of mathematics; generally the first one that people learn. It is concerned with the nature of operations upon quantities: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and exponentation.
The other branches of mathematics are (in no particular order): algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, topology, analytic geometry, and...I'm probably forgetting some. [img]smile.gif[/img] -Sazerac

Thanks, because in icelandic we have only two word... the same as mathematic and the dreaded Algebra... (ugh, nigthmares...)
