Since all of us are computer gamers of one type or another I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best video card and why? I figure this might help some of the people out there looking to do an upgrade in the near future.

Well this is a matter of preference. One wya to look at it is, how much bang for your buck?
Heres a couple links that will let you see for yourself. The first is a review of all the cards worth mention and what their frame rate capabilities are on certain games. http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphi...418/index.html Read (or at least look at) all the pages there to see what cards can do what. Next is a comparison of the Geforce4 ti boards. These are the new big boys on the block. http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphi...304/index.html Quite an informative page. If you really want to learn what the G4 ti boards can do read that thoroughly, in particular the benchmarks section. http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphi...206/index.html will tell you what the real differences between the G2 G3 and G4 cards are. God I love this stuff

I forgot to put this one up:
http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphic/index.html Thats a page that has links to just about all the info you could need if youre having trouble deciding which card to purchase. The best card on the market today is the Geforce 4 ti4600. Brands are a personal preference. Each brand will come with additional hardware and software packages. You might not need an adaptor for a second monitor. Then again you might not like the games and software packages that a brand might distribute. Not many brands have a great software AND extra hardware package. Im having a heck of a time deciding which brand to buy. Time to do some more research hey??
