Ah well, memories ...

When I met Luc, he hated me. We were at the end of 1st year of Engineer school, and my best friend Alix had a crush on his best friend Pierre-Jean. Thing was, Pierre-Jean had promised to drive Luc back to Paris where both of them lived, and Luc couldn't wait to leave because his current GF was in Paris. So when Pierre-Jean stayed one day more, then two, then three, Luc went more and more unhappy with that couple of nasty girls that we were ...

Then we all came back to Grenoble in September after the summer vacation - and Alix created a good excuse to spend a week at PJ's flat (Alix and I were to share a flat, and we missed the electricity guy - thrice ). Luc happened to be there as well. First time Luc put a feet in our flat, along with PJ, he said "This flat is ugly", and I thought "Fine, nobody invited you anyway, sucker" ...

Then after several days spent in PJ's and Luc's flat, one night when Alix and PJ had disappeared somewhere, Luc and I found ourselves all alone in the flat, and we started to talk ... and we talked ... and talked ... all night. I believe he fell in love with me then, though, I have to tell you that, as I already had two BFs at the time (er yes, I was a naughty girl ), I didn't believe it at first.

Well, first evening Alix and me had moved in our own flat, PJ came with a lame excuse ... and half an hour later, Luc came with the same lame excuse ... (Really, "I was just passing by", in a dead end alley ! ) He never left ! Soon after, Alix moved to PJ's flat, and Luc stayed at mine, and we live together ever since. That was 16 years ago, we have been married for 12 years.

That's how I happened to live alone in my own flat for less than one day in my entire life.

Sadly, Alix and PJ split 7 years later ... that's another story.

I ran away from home when I was 16 and ended up camping out far out in the country. My friends knew where I was at and came up bringing food and alcohol and anything else needed to survive. Anyway one of my friends brought his girlfriend that lived up the road. He soon after left leaving his girlfriend and another one of my friends behind with his own girl. The two of them went off behind a tree somewhere because as I remember he was pissed off about his stuff being stolen, leaving me alone with my friend's girlfriend. We talked for a long time and ended up wrestling in the leaves. Before I knew if were making out and then her boyfriend pulled up. He was pissed for a long time but he got over it. I stayed there camping out for about 4 months and then returned home. Anyway I'm 21 now and have a daughter with that same girl and am contemplating marriage.

I met my wonderfull wife at the Gym. I had been seruptisiously checking her out for months. I even changed the times I went to the gym in the hopes that she would be there. I never considered talking to her because we looked to be complete opposites. I am covered in tattoos, all pierced up and at the time had fire engine red hair. She had no tattoos , no piercings, normal hair , and when she came in the place ,was usualy dressed in bussiness attire. One day after about 6 months of having a little crush on her I noticed her walking towards me. To my complete SHOCK she walked right up to me and told me that she had "admired me for the past few months and had finaly gotten up the courage to do something about it." She asked for my telephone number and we made plans to meet up on that weekend. I was so speechless I forgot to ask her what her name was. We got together and it was like being hooked up to an electric line. We talked for hours almost every day. I asked her to marry me after we had been together only 4 months. We got married this past October. We still talk for hours and hours every day.I think about her all day , it makes my 13 hours in a hot kitchen seem a little easier since I have her to look forward to at the end of it.

I met my wife at a Best Buns contest in Daytona Beach Florida. I was down visiting a friend of mine in Orlando and we decided to head over to Daytona and party. I think it was the second or third place we went into... Anyway, I watched the contest for a while and then I noticed this pretty blonde with her head down on the bar. So I strolled up and began a conversation with her and her friend. The blonde asked where I was from and when I told her Knoxville, TN, she laughed and pointed at her friend and said so is she! Well, my wife to be thought I was feeding her a line of bull, so she started asking me all these questions about Knoxville and of course I knew the answers. We made a date to meet on the beach the next day. She told me later that she didn't think I'd show up, but I fooled her and did. We spent the whole day together and made another date to meet in Knoxville the next week.

We were both swept of our feet. We were married a year and a half later. Another funny thing about us is that we had the chance to meet each other several times prior to Daytona. We both went on a school system wide trip (we didn't attend the same school) when we were 13 to Washington DC. While there a group picture of about 300 kids was taken on the steps of the Captal Building. We sat on the same row about four people apart. We also both played church league softball against each other for almost 6 years. But it took a trip to Daytona Beach too meet!

Sir Talieson that is absolutely incredible. Truly amazing. Fate,it would seem to me. If you hadnt met at Daytona I think you would have been thrown together in other circumstances.

My wife and I actually met in Yahoo Chat. She was the first person I ever chatted with. I had just bought the parts and put together my first computer with the help of my brother.

30's Love can be a fun place Well it used to be anyway.

I began speaking with Linda and she seemed really nice. She was from Australia and I told her I was from Dalls. We both considered the other to be quite exotic. We chatted for about 4 hours and when she had to go I asked if I could add her to my friends list which she agreed to. We chatted every day for about 3 months and she went quiet for about a month. I started to get worried about her. Luckily over the months that we had become friends and had exchanged phone numbers. After not having heard from her for about a month I decided to call her on Christmas Day. Thats when I found out her computer was on the fritz and had been in the shop for over a month.

This was the first time I had ever heard her voice and I loved the way she laughed. I was a bit nervous calling her out of the blue but she quickly made me glad I did. The more I talked with her the more I liked her. It would seem that we were kindred spirits and had much more in common than we had really thought. Our senses of humour were quite similar.

Over the next few months our feelings for eachother deepened and it got to the point where she was on my mind 24/7. Voice chat and $900 phone bills werent enough.I couldnt stand being without her and on April 25, 2000 I boarded a plane and left behind everything and everyone I ever knew to be with the woman I loved.

10 days later we were married and 9 months after that our baby Andrea Michelle was born. I am now complete having the two things in the world that Ive ever truly wanted. A wonderful loving wife and a beautiful child.

There are some things I miss about home (GO STARS!!!!) but there is nothing that could take me away from my family. I miss my best friend and my dog (and GO STARS!!!) but thats about it. Oh yeah. I miss not being able to go to Dallas Stars home games.(GO STARS!!!!)
