Well me and two friends have been to this over the past two days and we had an awesome time.

We represented the United States (hey we didnt get a choice) and discussed topics such as weapons inspections, Slobodan Milosovic, Israel-Palestine, and refugees. We also had to wear national dress...so we wore suits and took briefcases.

Everyone slandered the United States as well...it was really funny how even when we had the same oppinion on the remit we were discussing, everyone still blamed us!

All the people there were 16 or 17 and it was really cool meeting new people and discussing current world topics.

Yeah so has anyone else done something like this? If you get the chance...go for it...it is heaps of fun.

That sounds like a very accurate description of people's attitudes toward us. Sad, but true.

lol I know, even when we were saying that "we should create a new protocol on international terrorism", and everyone else thought we should also, everyone was blaming us for financing terrorism etc. lol but it was good fun anyway.

Did USA get blamed for sponsering terrorism?!?!

Well you know what they say: "One persons freedom-fighter is another persons terrorist" (and vice versa)

Sounds like a great educational experience Scholarcs. I think schools should try and do those types of things more. If they can make learning interactive and draw the student in, they will learn far more than just by reading text books.
