what on Earth are you talking about? I'm not being petty, and what's with the "losing hand" nonsense? FYI, I contested your "ruling" in IM though you haven't replied yet
the fact that Brazil have played damn well IMO has nothing to do with it? that I think they have a really solid attack team? sheesh! so what are you telling me? that because you slapped dmy wrist (right or wrong) I am not allowed to suggest Brazil beats Belgium? Sorry to reopen this, Saz...let me just reply to LS. I've also replied to your PM to me, LS - apologies that I didn't check earlier.
There's a difference between friendly ribbing and rubbing things in after you've been told you've gone over the top. I don't appreciate statements like this from you: "Any more flamebaiting from you and I contact the Mods" to try and cast yourself as the aggrieved party when you started this whole thing in the first place, and seem determined to make it get bigger and bigger. In light of all that, whether or not you think I was wrong in admonishing you, to then post a further post saying that Belgium would lose 17-0 to Brazil is a) tactless; b) petty; and c) is like throwing out a fishing line in the hope of gettng a bite. Nobody is saying that you can't indulge in a bit of friendly gamesmanship here - Donut and I do it all the time. But 17-0? You will destroy your credibility as a footy fan to seriously suggest that something like that will happen, no matter how brilliant Brazil is. Conclusion - you want to rub it in to JR, after I'd "slapped your wrist", as you put it. Otherwise, why be so defensive about being called up in the first place? You can support Brazil all you want - but be mature enough to admit that you did the wrong thing in the first place and just get on with it - rather than building bigger and bigger mountains. I have replied to you in PM - if you want to carry on this discussion there I am more than happy to accommodate you. [ 06-16-2002, 06:47 AM: Message edited by: Memnoch ] |
