Actually give this a try.....
Right click on My Computer and go to properties. From there go to Device Manager and see if you have Imaging Device in there anywhere on the list. It could be there but as an unknown device which explains why your comp won't recognise it anymore. If that is the case just remove it from there and restart with the scanner plugged in. |

So there was an unknown device there under imaging?
Anyhow I have found the drivers to your scanner and you can get them here: http://209.85.7.18/techsupport.php?q=download&p=csn670u You can try instaling just the scanner to begin with if things still don't work out and maybe once the drivers are in there, it will recognise it. Either way I wish you best of luck! |

Unfortunately not really but.......When I instal my scanner, I only instal the drivers for it and not the software as I do all my scanning direct from the imaging program I like to use. Before you can use the scanner though (clickin on the scan icon) I had get my imaging program to recognise what exactly I wanted to use. When pressing the scan button I got the same message but next to it there (in the imaging program not the scanner) there is a little arrow that alows you to configure what you wish to use i.e. scanner, digital camera etc. See if your program has anything similar or if there as option where you can go in and set your scanner into it.

In my imaging program I can also go under file/scanner/select source. See if you have anything similar.
