thank you all, and Hiram... ackkk, lol
nope, she didnt ask for rabbit, but she loves animal so much, I'd love to give her a rabbit... as long as it doesn't take too much effort to pet on so, I will take Mel's advice, to buy a dull-witted dumbass rabbit, (I mean in a good way ) the cats are pretty well behaved (and trained and smart) but they hate each other... what can I say, lol will they be mean to the rabbit? the cats don't do hunting as far as I know of, and one of them is only 9 weeks old. any suggestions? thank you |

You could try and ask the petshop if they will take the rabbit back if things don't work out? I would really advice you to take care with the cats and the rabbit: tell your friend to keep an eye on them as much as possible in the first few weeks. It usually doesn't give any problems, but if the young cat wants to play with the rabbit, it may get frightened and start acting like a typical prey, in which case the cat may think it *is* a prey. I do think it's a wonderful present - it is so lovely to give someone a pet as a present!! Make sure you get sound advice when you buy the bunny - look to it that its eyes are bright and clear, not dull or crusty, and that its nose isn't runny, but dry. It should look alert and bright, and perk up its ears upon hearing a sound (unless it is of a race with naturally hanging ears). It should have any sores or bald spots and its fur should be shiny and healthylooking. Good luck!! ------------------ Melusine, Sultry Elflet, High Queen of Fluffies, Archbabe of the OHF, LH, HADB and ORT! Your voice is ambrosia Amy Brown Fantasy Art |

I just have one more question though, you recommanded getting a "dull-witted" rabbit, doesn't it contradict to "alert and bright" ? except that, you covered everything I need to know, thanks once more! |

LOL - no, not exactly. By alert I mean that it shouldn't look ill and uninterested. By dull-witted (heh) I mean that you should try and find a rabbit that seems somehow more gentle and calm, one that doesn't jump to and fro like well, like a rabbit, LOL! It doesn't have to look like it's just been hit on the head or something, but just try if you can easily pick it up without it goign all wild and jumpy. It should remain relatively calmly in your arms, maybe sniffing and exploring a bit, but not leaping from your arms or biting you. ------------------ Melusine, Sultry Elflet, High Queen of Fluffies, Archbabe of the OHF, LH, HADB and ORT!
