What do you think the best equipment for your main tank is? (and I dont just mean swords and armor, but any reply is appreciated)

Since this is just the BG2 forum, therefore I will omit the expansion items:
Weapon: Celestial Fury and Crom Faeyr Armor: Red Dragon Scale Helm: Helm of Balduran Gauntlets: Gauntlets of Weapon Expertise Boots: Boots of Speed Ring: Ring of Gaxx (preferable x2) or with Ring of Protection +2 Amulet: Green Stone Amulet Belt: Girdle of Inertial Barrier Cloak: Cloak of Mirrors ------------------ Long live H22A1!!!!! |

Weapon: Carsomyr? , elven +3, etc.. Armor: Red scale. Helm: Dragon. Gauntlets: Weapon expertise. Boots: Speed Ring: Gaxx and fire resistence. Amulet: Power. Belt: Inertial barrier. I think having a variety of potions handy is also key for a good warrior. Obviously, healing and haste potions, but also a few of your situational type potions as well such as fire resistance, clarity, and magical protection.

Assuming Fighter Class,
Armour: Red Dragon Scale Helm: Helmet of Defence Shields: Dragon Shield, Shield of Harmony, Shield of Balduran Boots: Boots of Speed Amulet: Kaligun's Amulet of Magic Resistance Weapons: Dual-wield Flail of Ages and Crom Faeyr Belt: Belt of Inertial Barrier Rings: Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Earth Control Cloak: Cloak of Mirroring Assuming you are just using Crom Faeyr with the Dragon Shield. 95% Fire Resistance 45% Cold Resistance 45% Electrical Resistance 20% Magic Resistance 25% damage reduction against Missile Attacks 50% damage reduction against Magic Attacks +4 to all saving throws additional +5 to saves vs breath weapons STR set to 25 Immunity to poison and disease etc... ... ------------------ If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Cavalier meting out justice.
