I think you meant Abjuration Rikard, not Alteration, that is why I specifically mentioned Transmuters.

Whats whirlwind?.I'm gonna use Keldorn as my main fighter. I just though playing a Kensai would just back him up a bit. I would have Jan as my thief and mage then Nalia as a mage. Sir Amomen can be my cleric. Who else is good to have. I mean Minsc is ok but he always ends up being held and stuff so he just gets in the way. Is Valygaror that Hier'Darlis guy any good?.

The weakest kit in BG2 is Kensai. He cannot wear armour and thats very bad point of them.
