I would,I think it makes the artwork incredible, improvments that could have been made in NWN,paperdoll,Characters and a couple of spells otherwise they should have stuck to a bg2ish type of game

YES! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I'm not the only one! I really like the isometric views (I'm also an RTS/TBS fan - Civ, AoE, all isometric...) ------------------ Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. Yeah,Now You Will See Rough Textures In NWN Mark My Words
Couldnt they just have made it an even bigger BG@ world with more depth, creatures, npcs and items and Better Graphics if thats possible, they are fairly inexperienced at this form of perspective how will it work out? |

I agree.
I think BioWare was in too much of a hurry to abandon this engine and go 3D... |

So do I, my computer probably won't run NWN!
It's a good computer, but has no 3d card, %&*£ ------------------ Silence dog! The only thing you are fit for is to die at my hand |

I think that top down view like in BG2 would be preferable to 3rd person, maybe a bit closer to the ground though, and a bit more 3D, like Darkstone.

I think we should wait until its out and we play it before we decide, it may be great, it may suck, it all depends on how they pull it off.

I definitely agree with that. The BG engine is still very viable and could be used for a little while longer at least. Pump up the graphics etc but I don't think the numerous BG fans would object to another game of this quality. Still NWN will probably be good... its just they could have done NWN and kept going with the infinity engine too! There is lots of Faerun left to explore!

I`m not knocking Neverwinter Nights, I actually look forward to it. But I suspect that it will be a little different from the BG games (in scale, if nothing else) and I`m going to miss them.
I don`t think that the engine has been used to it`s full potential yet and I don`t think it looks especially dated either. |
