Does the amount of time that you spend playing really make a difernece ever? I try to sleep as little as possbilel but if it never has an effect than I would more.

There are few time-sensitive quests in BG2 (f.e. in Underdark), but, in general time you spend doesn't really matter . So, there is no need to torment your party not letting them to sleep enough!

I did not think so, some games, the ending is effected by how much time yo spend playing. But I am just in chapter three doing the thieves quests so I do not hink it will effect me much now.
