In the manual and in the information you get when creating a new character it says that dwarves, gnomes and halflings get magic resistance ive played the game as them for a short while and none of them have gotten magic resistance is it only when they go up levels??? so far drow are the only ones i know which get magic resistance such as viconia (magic resistance 65%) |

The resistances that Dwarves, Elves and Halflings receive should effect their saving throws. They do not get overall magic resistance.
