Yeah Jan is fun (although not sure why you say with minsc. Jan is much more fun with goody goody types like Anomen and Keldorn cuz Jan rips on them
For casting power though Edwin is nice |

I think Edwin is the best mage as he can memorise more spells. His dialogue and sub-plots are also amusing.

i would have to say edwin, or jan, jan is hiarious but edwin is almost unmatched in spell power imho |
