Ok I was just in the umberdark and encountered a deamon (apart of the quest to get a light gem from one of those gnomes) Now here is the question Is that certian deamon's name Balor or does the deamon take the name of your Character and use it for him self.. but if he doesn't that would be REALLY odd because for the longest time my name (online) has been Balor which is the Irish god of death!

Balors are a type of tana'ri
Balor (True Tanar'ri): The greatest and most terrible of the true tanar'ri, the balors are the undisputed terrors of the Abyss. They are the very motivation behind the tanar'ri involvement in the Blood War. In every sense of the word, balors are the quintessential tanar'ri. They derive great pleasure from the suffering of others and go out of their way to torment lesser beings and cause them pain. Balors are repulsive and loathsome to behold. They are towering humanoids with deep, dark red skin. They have huge wings that propel them with unnatural speed and agility. They have long, wicked claws and grotesque fangs that drip with venom. Balors are commonly surrounded by searing flames. ------------------ |

Or is your character some sort of demon that WE all have been fighting in the Underdark?

Thanks for that description Dramnek_Ulk! Also in Celtic religion Balor is refered to as the God of Death (reason i chose the name!) He was a Cyclopse that was destroyed by his son by galguing out his only eye! (basics of the story) I had no idea that they were also a race of deamons @__@

the reason why the lesser demon lord cant be hit is cos he has a +3 imunnity. and if you look in shadowkeeper daystars enchantment for the purposes of determining what it can hit is +2 no matter what its alignment is.

The demon your refer to that "can't be hit" is fairly easy with the correct weapons/spells. I haven't fully tested all options, but if you have a mage, use melf's minute meteors. they strike as +5 weapons and take him out rather effectively. I did this and had him down VERY fast.
Yes the Balor is a type of Tan'ari (demon). There are many types of demons and the Balor is not the name of that demon, but rather the type. If you've read "The Crystal Shard" by R.A. Salvatore, you'll know the demon Errtu. He is a balor. (Errtu is also in a few other Salvatore ------------------ Let's get'em guen! Quote:

And so a Celtic goddess steps in to greet Balor...
