another tip, the fram rate is limited to 30 (YUK) so open up the baldur.ini file in your bg2 directory and change fps=30 to fps=45, save it and fire the game up, the differance is bliss
P.S I am running a watercooled overclocked [H]ard asses, Thunderbird/Geforce rig so you may not get the same performance boost as me ------------------ Master Assassin of the Holy Flame. My website http://hesperex.8k.com |

I have SOA running on a P166 no accelaration. 32 mg ram and 1048x768 res. And the Radio Shack guy said I could never even get it working on a dinosaur like that.

Evil Evil EVIL Static Animations. I remember the day when the closest thing we had to Static Animations were the smoke trails from houses in Warcraft 2!
And Wolfgir, it's more obvious on a low end system like mine, and I'll tell you that transparent shadows suck up a heap of memory. ------------------ Why? |

Good tips everyone. Nothing is more irritating than having your game lag up in the heat of battle because the games wants to play a symphony, create footsteps, comments and effects at the same time as doing all theat graphic stuff.. if you wnat to try out a fluid game, try Severance, blade of darkness, has a jPEG coded engine for textures that runs smooth as hell.. (sorry) and even though there are alot of ffects, you still have true shadows, blenings, watereffects with mirror and still batteling three or four opponents without a lag.. Thats great! A bonus is to see your character skewer away little evil skeletons too ------------------ WOLF WINS EVERY FIGHT BUT ONE, AND IN THAT ONE, HE DIES |
