Hey all! I just successfully made recordings for use in IWD to have my character use my own voice for a multi game. I still have to get the files to my fellow players for loading into the Sound folders but I think it will work.
Now, my BG2 question! I can't find a list of what is needed to do it in BG2. I'm told it can be done. And maybe I'm totally dull, here, but I don't find the list in the BG2 manual like I did in IWD. It is a list that gives the file number ie: xxxx01, xxxxx02 etc and indicates WHAT they are, such as : Morale failure, or Battle Cry 1, Tired 1, Tired 2 etc. I'd really LOVE to get my own recordings into BG2 and especially in my multi-play game! Anyone able to help me? Cloudy ------------------ Storm-Queen Purple Rose of the Black Knight |

Check here, I believe they have a detail description on what the files should be called:

Accord, thanks for the url, it's an interesting site! But unless, I've just missed it (a possiblity to be sure!) I don't see a list of the indiv sound files needed as I mentioned above. They do have sound sets to download, though!

No problem. I think it is on the first news of the general url, they made a FAQ on how to create your own portraits and custom sounds and the link is on that first message (there should be a "click here").

Accord, Memny: THANKS to both of you for the help!
Got me a list to work with...hehehehe! Now if only my computer mic didn't pick up even minor things like moving the mic...sigh... Related question, if I may? Do you know if the sounds will synchronize in multi-play games? I know that if only the original party has the sound file in their folder and selects it, none of the other players hear it, but instead have a default sound set. Haven't had a chance to test a sound set with anyone yet, and am curious. I assume if all the players have it and I choose it as the sound set for my character, they'll hear those sounds. Anyone know for sure? Cloudy The Mad Recorder, Customizing, Customizing, Customizing...WHOOOEEEEEEE |
