A low ThAC0(to hit Armor class 0) The lower this is the easier it is to hit the monsters you are trying to hit. AS you go up in the levels this will get lower. YOU will also get bonus to hit with magic weapons. The roll is based on a 1-20 roll of the dice. Same with the saving throws the lower it is the easier it is to make that throw like when some nastie launches loads of magic at you. If you make the saving throw some times there will be no effect your you could take half damage. Hope this helps.

THACO is an acronym for :To Hit Armor Class 0, so you want a low Thaco, this makes it easier to hit an opponent. Saving throw work the same, you want a low saving throw. The lower the number, the easier to make a save.

You can also go lower than Armor Class 0. I'm in Chapter 5 and am up to Armor Class -7. I know it can be confusing, but in this game lower is actually better!
