Now now... Anit-Paladin must not be all Evil, that is a miss understanding.
A Paladin is a knight who follows a god, a sort of monk if you say so. There can be good knights who saves princesses from dragons and such, but as long as they do not fight and die for a god, and live by the god fully, they are no Paladin. But an Anti-Paladin does not have to be connected to the most EVIL god around, there are many other types of good, take Bael for an example, he is true evil in many ways, but he demands order in his followers ranks, in that way, it is not chaotic anymore. As there are ranks. I often play Anti-Paladin on online games, I must say, rather fun it is. I try to act as my char would do. My char, Zertyr as probobly a few here knows, is a evil char where I can play it. But he can also help a newbie in troubel and so on, because, in his thinking, he can gain on it in a longer bit of sight. But I must admit to my own satisfaction when a group of Good guys bangs up togehter and gives you a good chase! *happends on everquest allot* But thats part of life, playing AP on online games, you die the most in the game almost. So its special ppl who play evil! but it sure is fun, if you can rp the char. /Zertyr, Capt of the Dark Legion in Everquest. (a group of 10 ppl, one necro with one paladin allways grouping almost.) |

An Anti-Paladin (also called a black knight) is in the 3rd edition rules of D&D. They are the opposite of the Paladin. Really fun to play as a dwarf. All greed, double crossing at will, and no conscious to drag you down. I wonder if you can have a fallen Anti-Paladin???? I would like to know where you found said sword as well (obvious reasons) and does it have any really cool extras? Enquiring minds want to know!

The Unholy Reaver (the +5 sword) can be found on a Anti-paladin Giythanki (i think) but its very race restricted.

You know, ya know, if they aren't trying to re-create Torment in BGII, I don't know what they are doing. I mean, I mean, they have Githyanki and plane touched folk. I can't remember that NPC that you find with fiend blood in him, but there it is. Now all they gotta do is give us unlimited spell access (meaning you can raise up as many levels as you want) and let us fight all those cool demons and demogoblins. Killing Trist the betrayer was cool (Archangel). Course, letting him live was even cooler (mega experience boost). But I wanted that sword dam*it. LOL. He had this cool +5 sword, only usable by Lawful Good characters though. But the point is, I could have become Lawful Good if I played right. I only made it to Neutral Good though. Ah well. Until they allow us to regenerate like trolls, I'll keep playing BGII, but wishing it had shared some of the world of Torment (beyond the items I mean).

Just in case anyone really cares:
S P O I L E R S P O I L E R I found the The Unholy Reaver (the +5 Two Handed Sword) on an Anti-paladin Giythanki who was on an Unholy Quest to return the silver blade (Part of a really cool sword Artifact) that the boat guy going into CHAPTER Four gives ya. The Giythanki are the Race that tip over your boat at the end of chapter 4. FYI |
