How much of the official campaign will I miss out on if I play as a Paladin who doesn't break into homes, steal, lie, cheat, deceive, or murder*? I haven't gotten very far in the game yet; my farthest was with a Ranger who I stopped playing with in Ch 1. But from that experience and from what I've read on the forums, half the loot in the game is found in random containers and buildings, and extra quests/goodies are awarded for Persaution (which isn't always exactly honest). If I play as a Paladin, will I be at a significant disadvantage by roleplaying my Lawful Good alignment?
* by 'murder' I mean killing innocents or people/creatures who can't defend themselves [ 09-01-2002, 12:46 AM: Message edited by: Darkman ]

You will miss out on some quests - and a lot of rewards, especially in chp. 1(nothing you can't live without though)
From chp 2 onwards nearly all the quests can be done by a paladin. You will loose quite a lot of loot in chp. 1 (and some items that the henchmen wants) if you don't check crates/chests, but it won't be as bad in chp. 2 onwards, as you aren't in a civilized area - and it is ok to take the bad guys treasure.

Some Quest items are in peoples homes, and like Ar-Cunin said, so are a lot of quests. If u do play as a Paladin, u WILL be at a significant disadvantage by roleplaying ur Lawful Good alignment as u will have less money, items, and EXP.
