I've just watched the video for NWN with BG2, it looks ace (don't all videos?). Do you really think they can manage a true RPG computer game? I don't. Where you can take very many different routes and everyone in the game is a character rather than a commener saying one useless paragraph and nothing else.

I think NWN is going to be a dissapointment. Why? If you want to play it multiplayer you're going to have to KNOW all the people you play with. Let's face it most people are going to just run round hackin and slashin, and try to show off their char rather than RPGing.

They are tryong their best to give all the tools to RPG fans that FPS fans have had for years. Will it perfectly emulate P&P gaming? No. They never have said it will. Yes to have more fun than just hack'n slash stuff you will need to know other gamers or get to know people, but you have to do that in any online game. Unless its just plain FPS deathmatch.

Well.. you have to consider the fact that people make adventures. So.. if you know of a powergamer, just make a really hard adventure for them to attempt. The key word here is attempt.

I think, know, that unless everyone RP's it will turn out like EverQuest.

In in EQ, only about 10% roleplay. The game is really unbalaced equipment wise, and it looks alot like a fantasy FPS. Also, i hope "twinking" does not infect NWN. Twinking rapes the game balance and kills it, well it did in EQ, and it will in NWN. Maybe not as much in NWN but still.
