Greetings again my Ironwork friends.
i read the posts about camomile13's problem, but i seem to be suffering another problem... you see i entered the pyramid, i found the tomes! Boo-yah! When i entered the square room, flicked the switch and fell down, i saw the totem head... errr... the pot plant holder... arrrr... the stone pillar... arf!! i mean CET and Kerah. Now i hear you have to deal at least 200 damage to here to free her, and then give here a holy water and then walk through the corridor where the fire blocked it. The only problem is it keeps locking up down there.. i cant move, i cant click... cant save.. cant do cripe except stare at a bad locked screen and perhaps an angel with some sex appeal (strange isn't it?). Im running Windows XP.. and by the sounds of it, NO PATCH! Err... can anyone help me with this seriously annoying problem? ~Marikai

Freezes have been known to happen during the Kerah-Cet confrontation. Best way to avoid them is to minimize the video activity at all times. That means stare straight into a pillar or wall while Kerah and Cet are going at it. Only look up when Kerah attacks you, and then only enough so you can see her.
You might also get rid of all extraneous programs before launching the game as well. Pull up the Task Manager and blow away anything you really don't need. Systray and Explorer are important to keep, but little else is needed. That will free up as much memory as possible prior to the battle. You can also try applying the patch. At this stage of the game, it really doesn't impact game play, but anything's worth a shot. Updated video drivers can help in some circumstances... full details of everything are in the Tech Tips thread. If that doesn't help, post back with full specs and we'll see what we can do.

Welcome to the board, Marikai!!!
I don't recall you having to do any damage to Kera only that you need to wait until she is a bit more "sane" to give her the Holy Water (is she only more sane if you have inflicted damage? It has been too long since I played this section through). While it is necessary to be in the room with Cet and Kera to set off this sequence of events you need not stay in this room. As Bungleau suggested it is best to keep the video activity as minimal as possible (so keep Cet out of your field of vision, try to stare at something that doesn't need to change)- now try going back into the previous room - Kera should follow you and hopefully you should not lock up. Hope that will work - if not, we're still here and will find a solution! Wyv |

I wonder if lowering the acceleration would help. I'm not sure about that so don't try it just yet. I doubt there are any benchmarks using W&W though.
