Well I only play 4 games Wizards and Warriors, Baldurs Gate II, Majesty, and Lords of Magic.

My favorite can be guessed very easily Wizards and Warriors.

But I play Majesty because it is very challeging and never the same. Lords of Magic is an Online game. But you don't have to play online it is also offline. I have played a game where it is only online and I don't like those kind of games. But lords of Magic has several had quests and Is even more challeging. I play baldurs gate and don't like it much I only play when I am in the mood.

But I would Recomend Lords of Magic. Online fun and you don't really need any advice in it. it is pretty much all told in the instructions. And Boy do I love that game. In fact I just got done playing it before I got onto this site. I wouldn't classify it as role playing though but it is still very fun.

Oh ya did I mention there is really no ending to it. and there are unlimited save files. All of my friends who don't like RPG's all like Majesty and Lords of Magic I made them buy them.

Majesty comes with an expansion. and has a form.

the link is right here. You can download a demo for it. And you can also download extra quests.

Here´s a mood getter for you. Whenever I´m bored I play monopoly deluxe. A really old game, made for win3.x I think. Imagine that on win2k with the colours turned down to 256, otherwise you can´t play. After 5 mins of that you´re in the mood for everything!

I cannot recommend BG2, too.
1. Your success depends on your luck (I mean your own luck - not a stat) too often. Either you suceed with a spell and win the combat or you fail and restart the game.
2. Every spellmonger in the game casts paralysis or domination of some kind on you. We all know how dangerous such spells are and that they should be cast only by the strongest opponents. Moreover, the paralysis is usually collective - it hits not only a selected target but also all targets nearby - and it has long duration. Needless to say that you resources to parry these effects are near to none for a long time. That's not good.
3. Forced unreadiness. It happens more often than it is sane that you cannot say: "Well, I am ready. Now, let us see the monster". You aren't ready and you cannot be ready. Examples: all dragons, Kangaxx, packs of beholders, high level mages and so on. You are forced to improvise and to hope that you survive somehow. As if you run into mantraps near the Shurugeon Castle without knowing about them previously. But while you can prepare for the mantraps in W&W sufficiently, you cannot prepare for the mentioned monsters in BG2. That's not good, too.
On the other hand, the game has a soul. The storyline is perfect. The graphics is very nice. The whole work has been done at a really professional level.

Have you tried the expansions for Baldurs gate 1 & 2. They do improve the games. The final fantasy series are pretty good, but I dont think they are on pc.
