I just got this game, I am a newbie. I was wondering if there was a pause button, playing real-time is real confusing, I am used to the Baldur's Gate series so some of you know what I mean. I am used to pausing a lot to organize what I am going to do next, but I can't find a pause button in this game! Those skeletons and zombies are really tearing apart my party, so any suggestions on that would be nice also.

Welcome to the board, Willard!
There really is no 'pause' button, just a real time toggle. (T) The creatures should only take 1 turn each and then wait. You might want to set the 'Options' settings (the computer icon) to 'seldom' and 'easy' until you get used to the game...

Welcome to the board, Willard!
Check your computer options - little icon on the lower left corner of the game screen. You can change the settings to help make the game a little easier for you while you adjust! I generally have my characters set up before an encounter for attacking with a weapon or which spell they are going to use, but if you get yourself into turn base mode - you can do that within the game too. Just don't panic! Wyv |

ya there is a way to pause it. I just found out how a couple of days ago. you just hit "p" on the keyboard.
An easy way to switch back and forth between Real time and turn base mode is by hitting "T" on the keypad. I have a question. how do you take screen shots. Jafin told me all you do is hit print screen or something like that but I don't know how to do that. [ 06-29-2002, 09:12 PM: Message edited by: Loumistro ]

Set up a file some where to save the snaps, open the app, click Sart using, click on 'capture', check 'enable Special capture', check DiectX/Direct3D...click on 'capture'..capture settings...fill in the capture and Quik save fields, minimize it and start your game.(it runs in the background)
When you want to take a snap...you just hit the 'Scroll Lock' key. (After you set it up you can put a short cut on the quick launch bar) Make sure you check on the folder size, from time to time....Full screen shots can take up about 2.25 MB. ... it'll gooble up HD space pretty quick...
