I am totally frustrated! I got the eye of the colanth and the second shard from the tarantula queen. On the way back, after swimming the lake again I run into at least six fuming fungus type monsters in the passageways. With two characters casting magna bombs (about 4 each) I still can't kill them before they kill me. The problem is the passageways are too short to get any real range on them. I've tried restarting saved games at least a dozen times with the same outcome, any thoughts?
Thanks in advance! |

Hello, btennisson! Usually the firestorm spell does wonders on the fuming fungus. If you are too close to them to not be damaged by your own spell, switch to safe mode under game options.
Hope this will help! //Jazzid |

I cast burning haze on them to slow them down, then ducked down a corridor to avoid being hit by their spells. Duck and cast, duck and cast...

Thanks for the info on safe mode, it's a life saver! I'm at work now but I'm sure I'll be able to get out of there tonight.

For future reference since I realize how close your party is to the encounter right now and it does not help much....your cursor can target these creatures before you can see them.
Comes in handy if you have the distance to back off a bit. |
