Ive completed the dragonspire and got the mavin sword. I understand that I'm supposed to go through the door thats on the left hand side of the altar but it's closed and I can't find any way to open it. HELP!!!!!!!!

Ouch! Sounds like a bug. I've encountered times when doors that are supposed to open don't because the game randomly generated a rat at the moment of their opening, and then they jam shut after killing the pesky rodent. In my experience, the problem gets solved by leaving that map area (i.e., traveling back to an area where the map shifts to a layout you can't see from your original spot), then returning to the door. If this does not work, then you may have to reload from your last save (unless Wyv or Saz can hack you an open door).

Go back to the room in which you collected the Mavin Sword and click on the stand and this time, let them finish talking before you do anything else. The door will open!! Wyv |
