i choose to restart after i completed the game..i have a safe game out side the port..can i still load it?

Yes, you can.
Note: If you load up the old saved game and take that old party into any Inn and then exit the game (autosave) it will overwrite your new party saved there from your restart (the Roster.dat file). Caution is advised. |

Each save game contains two copies of the roster.dat file, 1 that contains the
current status of the characters and one that has the status as of the last time you left town (for revert game use), it also contains a third area with the current adventuring party data in it for immediate use as you adventure (each character entry in this area contains the index in the roster area of the file for easy dual updates). If you exit the games in a town and then load a save game when you start up, your roster file WILL be overwritten and you will lose all that happen in the last gaming session. I never exit the game in town, I always exit the town and save so I don't forget and destory my last sessions data [This message has been edited by dlimbaugh (edited 07-06-2001).] |
