I know the official minimum system requirements are a P2 233 - 64MB ram and you don't HAVE to have a 3d card.
But I don't know of any game that was actually playeble on a minimum specced machine
So what would one need in order to run the game smoothly in, say, 800x600 in 32 bit color?

FYI, this is my current setup:
P3 450 - 128MB ram - Geforce 2 MX - 5400rpm HD - 48x CD-Rom

Is that enough for W&W or should I think about upgrading?

Thanks in advance,
Snoekie.

Welcome to the board, Snoekie!!!

Looks like a pretty good set up. Memory is pretty cheap right now so bumping that up a bit certainly won't hurt.

What OS are you running??

Welcome Snoekie!

You've more than enough power to run W&W.

I played through with:

Celeron 458 (Overclocked 366)
128MB Ram
16MB Banshee Video card
48x CD-Rom
Except I have a 7200 RPM HardDrive (I doubt a 5400 will be a problem.

Looks like you are ready to roll as is.

Have Fun!

Mark

Thank you all for the warm welcome
From what you guys say it looks like I'm all set for some RPG goodness then. Now all I have to do is buy the game at the end of the month. Yes, it's one of those months where I know for sure that money really does talk.... and this time it said: "Bye bye"

But anyway, I'm looking forward to get my hands on this game - it sounds like a really good one in it's genre. Especially the part that you can type in actual "key" words to get info from NPC's.
It reminds me of my very first (C)RPG I've ever played: Ultima 4... been hooked ever since
And from what I've heard the manual is a pretty hefty read too. I happen to like that in a RPG game: a nice big manual, possibly a map, to get more involved in the storyline and possibilties the game has to offer.

Oh, and to answer you question Wyvern, I'm running Win 98.

Safe travels fellow adventurers
Snoekie.
