LOL, my cat jumped up from the floor & ran across my keyboard when I was playing M&M8. I could not figure out for the life of me why all of a sudden I could not run anymore & was getting chased down & turned to stone by some gorgons! Finally I realized he had pressed the key that changed the mode to "Always Run" so in fact when I was trying to use the shift key to run, I was making myself just walk!

Dern Cats!

I hate it when that happens! I've played the game a few times myself. Those Gorgons are pretty tough. Good Luck and keep running.
P.S. I always liked using the fly spell in those areas because the monsters get underneath you but can't hurt you. Then you fly quickly in any direction and hit "Enter". Now they are no longer under you and you can blast losts of them with meteor showers, fireballs etc. Happy Hunting!

LOL, Thank you, Magnus! Yeah those were in my pre-Fly spell days! I have since killed them all by flying around & letting them gather under me, then quickly moving ahead, turning on turn-based mode, turning around & pummeling them with Rock Blasts...Earth spells are the only ones they have no resistance or immunity to.
