Did anyone notice that the Ogres in the goblin fortress, beside the jail containing the Queen Fire Beetle, start fighting and kill themselves before your characters do anything to them? Did I miss a story line here? Or are these Ogres just that dumb?

I've already finished the first level but wondered if I missed some experience points here. I went through the jail instead of the door and had an easy time killing everything in there.

I always make sure to kill them, because I like xp. They fight because they are dumb ogres... I suppose....

Funny, I had that happen in one of my games once, but it weren't the Ogres that were fighting, but the two Trolls on the other end of that Fire Beetle-pen. One had beaten the other to the ground, and he was down to 'almost dead' himself. That was the easiest time I ever had disposing of two Trolls. Another time those Trolls were killing the Beetles and Otyughs inside the pen. They aren't very disciplined, obviously.

Fire beetles are too dumb to ally with humans, and Ogres are too dumb to realize that the Fire beetles help them. But yes, I watched the ogres kill off everything in the room.

I watched the Ogres kill each other!

The last one probably had one hit point left because my thief took him out with a bullet.

I killed everything in the cell myself with ranged weapons. Easiest pickings I've ever had.
