Monk is a very powerful class. As Gimli said, monk got very high AC if his Dex and Wis is high enough(My Monk's AC is 20 at Lv 1). Only a few foes can strike him, so use a monk as a front-line attacker. Monk is good against magic too. Thx for their special abillty. A Lv 20 monk is no longer a mortal, he become an outsider and gain dmg reduction 20/1, imm to all mind-affecting spell, imm to poison, imm to disease, move much faster, improved evasion...and more~
i perfer a monk to use their fists than any weapons...
