Guys,
I have a problem, I ordered this game from abroad and had problems installing it. I couldn't do a reccomended or full install, just a Small one due to weird errors, now I'm getting errors with a file which is corrupt. Data4.cab Could anyone please Email me this file from their disc 2 so I can try and sort it out?. Many thanks. desdicado@blueyonder.co.uk

I Really think your better off going to Biowares web site or Black Isle's .That sounds like something is wrong

I had this exact problem. I'm right in saying the game crashes about 3/4 of the way through the installation? Also do you have a CD-writer?

Where abroad did you get the game? Are you sure that it's not a fake version? I live in Malaysia and fake games are in abundance. Whenever there is a problem installing ANY game, it is ALWAYS this file that is faulty

This thread is ok to me.
I know lots of place where someone could get the game for free, and all of those places have a working Data4.cab, so this is a legit post in my opinion.

Hi Folks, eventually got a shop to swap it, had to buy another copy 1st though in the UK and am up and running now. Dodgy copy indeed. I have too much respect for the work of the folks at Black Isle for that. They've given me many dozens of hours of fun, BG1, BG2, Icewind 1 etc.

Actually I had this exact same problem with the same file and I did get it sorted in the end. My game runs fine and is 100% legit.
