Does anyone know why what the problem is when you can choose a spell from the spell book but when you try to cast it you nolonger meet the requirements? My paladin can choose a level 3 spell but she cant cast it when i try.

Wisdom is 12
Charisma 18 But i would have thought if my wisdom wasnt high enough i wouldnt be able to choose the spell in the first place. I dont know though.

Yeah thats the reason. but dont worry to much. you can raise your wisdom when you level up and if you cant or dont well your not missing out on to much anway, Paladins just cast low level Cleric spells anyway for the most part. But if your like level 3 or below still you can start putting points into it every 4 levels.

The reason you can memorize it but not cast it is that their are a multitude of items and spells that will temporarily or permanently (while worn) raise your wisdom. Makes for the pop-on, pop-off effect ;-P

You need wisdom 13+ to be able to cast level 3 paladin spells. My own paladin suffered from the same issue. Just get a Ring of the Wise or increase your wisdom when available.

You need (10 + level of spell) WIS/INT/CHA to cast that level of spell (depending on class). A WIS 12 only allows 2nd level spells, even if higher ones are shown.
