Kaylessa and ..... (spoiler)

I accepted Kaylessa's request to put her minions to rest and returned. After informing her of my accomplishment I got experience, and then Kaylessa immediately attacked. I was expecting at least ONE line of dialogue wherein she asks the party to kill her or something like that. Did I miss something? I have HoW and TotLM.

Also, I am grooming a party that includes TWO fighters that I will dual over to specialist mages. (This is in addition to my gnome thief/Illusionist. Yeah, I like magic.) So-o-o-o.... I am very interested in armor that a spellcaster can use. What is the random armor that drops from Kaylessa (stats) and what is the location and stats of the other "spellcaster armor" that I think is in Severed Hand or nearby?

Kaylessa' armor is elven chain +3 and so is the other random drop chainmail. IIRC, the second armor is dropped in the Correlon Tower, either first or second level in a chest at the far right.

I thought that Kaylessa did have some limited dialogue after you return, but can't recall for sure.

Yes, that was suppose to happen so it looks like a minor bug.

Not to sure about the armour Noble Nick but I think its rating was a 2 or 3, not the greatest but not bad. I like battle mages as well, they make good fighters and with spells like mirror image, and stoneskin they are pretty much unstoppable.

If you like Battle Mages I recommend the Auril Download, the mod is perfect for battle mages, as it contains several pieces of eleven chain throughout the game (2 in the Kuldahur), as well as other nice items, and extra challenging battles throughout the game (makes the game slightly harder in areas). Unfortunately I do not think there is a version to work with TotLM yet.

However, since she wanted to die anyway, i don't see the problem.

Thank you, all for the help. I must have blinked or something the first time. I replayed from a save before returning to K; and this time she did ask the party to give her the benefit of dying in battle. Dunno what happened the first time I returned...

The chain mail didn't drop (got boots of speed and nice compound bow, instead). So, how often does the elven armor drop; and do I have to replay from a save before I entered the room to talk with her the first time in order to re-randomize the treasures?

The answer is yes. Random items are determined when you enter the area for the first time. But how often does it happen? I dunno. When I was soloing bard it took me only one reload from scratch, but with my party I couldn't get Kaylessa's chain even after 3rd reload.
Oh and BTW, Kaylessa's chain grants you also +1 DEX - really nice and useful.

I don't have any solid numbers to back this up, but I believe that the chain mail that Kaylessa drops shows up with about the same frequency as the other items. At least it has for me. [img]smile.gif[/img]
