... times have you completed the game?
I've been through close to a dozen times with different party make-ups like different alignments, different mixes of characters, etc. My next project I think will be a party of thieves, fighter-thieves, and a mage/thief. I think it would be cool to try to sneak attack the entire game. I can't explain why I'm getting so much replay value out of this game.

Well if IWD is such an obsession of yours, perhaps you'd like to try BG2 .

Durwyn is right, BG2 is much more detailed game allowing both straight on melee fighting and as much strategy as you are willing to excercise. In addition, BG2 allows you to take better advantage of characters specific capabilities... maybe we can hope for a BG3.

quote: Well, it would be cool, but BG2: ToB was the definite end to the whole Child of Bhaal saga, of course they'll still use the forgotten realms setting, but in different stories such as NWN.

WEll, I only went thru IWD all the way once so far with three other parties of differing make-up and races on their way now. But I did kill the Big Bad Baddie in HoW three times--just because I didn't appreciate the attitudinal problem she seemed to be having that day!

Heh... I got two teams going on now. One is a party of 6, while the other is a solo multi-classed Cleric/Ranger. I am not pinning a lot of hopes on the C/R, but I thought I would do it for a lark. Has anybody soloed IWD before? If so, with which class?

Dundee,
I've done a solo F/M/T (multiclass) on normal difficulty, and in HOF mode did it with two characters (multiplayer): F/M/T and a R/C. I've lost track of how many times I have played IWD and the expansions! lol

Cool! My confidence in my solo Cleric/Ranger has been boosted quite a bit.

A ranger/cleric (multiclass?) should be able to breeze through.
Let me know how it goes!
