I'm looking to create a 3-4 member party and would like some help. What classes, what profs/skills I should concentrate on, also I get mixed up when people say things like fighter/druid but don't state whether its multi-class or dual class. Also if it is dual could you say at what level you dualed over to the second class? Thanks in advance assuming you answer =)

I've already done the four member party thing. I used a Paladin, a Cleric, a Magic User and a Thief. The Paladin and Cleric where frontline fighters, keeping monsters away from the other two. The magic user specialised in using a staff (to prove that I could be careful) and then took up the sling sometime later, the thief, of course, used the stereotypical short bow. The only problem with a four member party is that arround half way through Kresselek's tomb you start to realise that two more members inventories would come in handy (since scavenging and selling everything is very productive). It could be better to have a fighter instead of a Paladin but the extra healing comes in handy (the paladin should not be used as an aggressive fighter but as a human shield to protect others, healing others, if he get's wounded, well, that's what clerics are for ).

Oh, these where all humans apart from the half elf thief. None of them dual classed, you generally don't need a pure thief, a half elf or halfling fighter/thief is good enough. Only humans can dual class. Although if you'd prefer something different a Dwarf Fighter with Con 19 is a very good defensive measure.

i prefer fighter, cleric, fighter/thief, mage/cleric. multi class not dual. Tough and you have to prioritise on which items to take and which to leave behind.

I ran the following party thru HOW on Heart of Fury mode:

Half elven - Fighter/Druid
Half elven - Ranger/Cleric
Elven - Fighter/Mage/Thief
Human Bard

You have all the spell lists covered (with some duplication) and all the essential skills covered. If you wish, you can drop the bard and replace it with a pure fighter or a paladin. Or drop it all together if you wish.

In HOF mode, this group gained experience at an incredible rate and I ended up dropping the bard in chapter four because she had capped out! I ended up adding her back at various places to update her spells but I probably could have finished the game without her.

I ran a 4 person party through the game: Started out with 3 fighters and a multi mage/thief (elf). As soon as the fighters had max proficiency I dualled them to a cleric and 2 mages. Worked like a charm, but getting the right stats took forever.
