Yes I forgot to post, but I did disable one of my cores and it worked fine - perhaps a little slower but still more than playable for me. Elfbane's report would be your best bet though, as he actually has a single core CPU.

Well, I took the plunge & installed it. Works fine so far, although I'm still in the midst of doing the first Act as a mage.
