What I'm looking for is some freeware/shareware/demo to moniter my machine while I'm gaming. I'd like to be able to look back afterwards and check my CPU, RAM, and Swap File usage percentages over that period of time.
Anyone using something similar? I need this to convince myself that my machines resources are not overtaxed, because I am an upgrade junkie! [ 04-05-2004, 06:52 PM: Message edited by: Ronn_Bman ]

Ronn,
A quick Google search for "Win 98 CPU Performance Monitor" came up with this link, which looks promising. You didn't mention your OS, but the links on that page go back to Win98. If something looks good there, let me know

Sorry, I'm running XP Home.
The link was interesting but more geared towards monitering network activity. Task moniter does handle the CPU and CACHE usage percentages, but only for a very limited history, and there is not readout there for physical memory even though the current usage is listed. I've been around CNET and a few other places, but I just haven't found anything, so I'm hoping someone here actually uses something like that.

There are some very cool looking things there Mouse. I've bookmarked them, and I'll go through them tomorrow.
I especially like that newfreeware site.
