Reading the article about NAMCO publishing Flagship Studio’s first PC game (http://www.flagshipstudios.com/ ) prompts me to ask the question: what kind of game are they going to put out? Flagship’s team created the Diablo series when they were with Blizzard, so I assume it will be similar. Reading the interviews makes me think this will be an online game. Looking at the concept art, which almost looks like it was designed by the same guy who did Alien, I conclude that the game will be set in a sci-fi world. So how will this action/adventure be different? We can only speculate. But that leads me to another question: what kind of online game would we LIKE to see next? If you can think of any online gaming aspects that you have not seen but would like to, post them here.

This is one of the concept art pictures from this new Flagship/NAMCO 'mystery' project I'm talking about:
This is a big deal, when you consider the significance of these two companies. I wish they'd just come out and say what type of game this is going to be. It's driving me crazy... http://namco.com/news/63 Actually I was able to find a couple more: |

Yes, the MMORPG market is rather saturated.. but then so is the FPS market and yet I NEVER get tired of new FPSs ~ as long as each one has something new to offer. Same with MMORPGs ~ if you're a fan and each new one brings innovation and quality improvement over the last ones, then bring it on.
And just when ya think people have a 'been there done that' attitude towards a certain genere ~ there's already fansites for this game, even though I don't think it will be out for a long time. How they manage to get information on such a secretive project is beyong me… http://www.flagshipx.net/ http://flagship.warforums.net/ http://en.fssplanet.com/ http://brnation.d2sector.net/flagship.php http://www.blizzplanet.com/modules.p...index&catid=20 http://fs.kokeeno.com/ http://www.flagshipnexus.com/ http://www.ultimategamers.com/ |
