Simple logic: it won't let you continue without a keyboard. So if it can't find one, it tells you to plug one in. And like Skywalker said, it isn't related to the operating system (ie, Windows) . Windows basically doesn't exist on the box until you see the first "Windows whatever" floodscreen.

The ones I posted were in-windows error messages. I have them printscreened. And yes, the keyboard worked when it "didn't".
I have something to ask you people who know stuff. My *stupid* friend said that all windows have a funny and evil error message programmed in to display it on the 6th day of the sixth month 2066. I knew immediatelly he was pulling my leg, and why it was impossible, but I now ask you, the computer literate: Why is this impossible? Whoever gets this right gets a really big mental coockie and a round of applause. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Because dates stored in int32s wrap over to 0 in 2038? Somewhen around then anyway, and definately before 2066.
