So long as you haven't left anything out, Stormy, an appeal sounds possible. If you can bankroll it, that is.
This is a felony. A felony conviction can hurt him in a lot of ways. In many places, a convicted felon can't own a gun or vote. You should ask your lawyer about chances of success on appeal, appeal procedure, timeline, what will happen in the meantime -- and make him give you cost estimates up front (you may be able to wrangle a set fee out of him). Then take your questions to a second lawyer. This guy hasn't been successful so far, so get a free second opinion. Compare their abilities, their prices, and decide if you want to appeal. |
