Manchester United have today been found guilty of price fixing of their shirts. Together with other companies a total of 19 million pounds has been laid against the makers and sellers of replica shirts. About 50 million Australian $$$$

From a personal point of view this is a brilliant decision. Down here we have a similar system of charging fans of rugby league teams about 800% more than what a similar material shirt without the logo goes for. I hope there will soon be a change

No one is stopping Man utd selling the shirts it is supplied from Nike for any price it wants. The problem is when they and the biggest shirtselling company, JJB sports, put pressure on other smaller companies to also sell the shirts at a rip off price.

I like Man utd, but hate this sort of price fixing.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of megalomaniacs!

Personally I wouldn't give you 2 bob for one to wash my car with!

On a serious note, all clubs are guilty of this, Man Ure are just being made an example of because they are the biggest. Football clubs rip their fans off because they can.
ahh..now I get it. but for a mere £1.65m fine that is too little considering what huge amount Man.Utd made out of merchandizing.
